Objective.bike offers a single plan: YOUR PLANTM.
YOUR PLANTM includes
- Initial consultation and outline of coaching philosophy.
- Iterative and collaborative SMART goalsetting and season planning.
- Iterative and collaborative identification of limitors.
- Weekly training schedule, with trainer workouts pushed directly to Zwift, MyWhoosh, or TrainingPeaks Virtual. Your plan is not set in stone, and we will work together to find scheduling and load that works for you.
- Weekly analysis of riding data using tools including WKO5, intervals.icu, and customised data processing tools.
- Data driven reassessment of goals and limitors.
Communication
The backbone of the coach athlete relationship is communication. We want communication to have a low barrier and be easy. If you have a question or concern about your plan I want you to feel comfortable reaching out. As an example, common questions could be
I am not feeling well, should I still do my workout?
My motivation is low,and I'm not feeling very fresh on the bike, should I still do this difficult workout?
I just found out about this race I want to do, how should we change my schedule?
Your options for communication include:
- Text messaging
- Notes and comments on coaching portal apps (especially intervals.icu)
- Phone calls
Scheduling primarily occurs through http://intervals.icu.
Costs:
For the 2025 coaching will be offered for zero cost for a limited number of riders while I establish my practice. However, YOUR PLANTM is not free I expect you to be an active participant. This includes but is not limited to
- Providing notes about how you felt after each ride
- Actively participating in discussions about your goals and objectives
Additionally, since we will be taking a data-driven approach, it’s vital to be collecting data. This includes
- Smart Watch
- Bike computer / head unit
- Heart rate monitor
- Smart indoor trainer
- Power meter
It is mandatory to use 3 and either 1 or 2. Ideally all 5 of these provide an excellent stream of data to work with and provide health and wellness data along with riding performance data. Some riders may benefit from periodic laboratory tests (i.e. blood lactate and VO2 Max).
